The route slip may be short, and the first 30 miles are flat, but this is no easy ride. Most of the climbing (about 6,800ft) is concentrated in less than 50 miles! Still, the reward for all of that effort is substantial -- low traffic roads with stunning scenery. At this time of year, temperatures on the sunny slopes of Skaggs Springs Road are moderate.

Riders should bring enough food for 100 miles, and two water bottles. Check your brake pads and tires before the ride. Water stops will be at Cazadero (Mile 30) and Camp Liahona (Mile 60). Water is also available at the Lake Sonoma Visitor Center (Mile 85). This ride will likely take 9 hours to complete.
