New Face Coverings guidance for California will go into effect on June 15, 2021.

SRCC intends to align our club rides with the new guidance that can be found HERE. What does this mean?

  • Masks will not be required for fully vaccinated individuals on group rides and in most indoor settings (see link about for exceptions).
  • Masks are not required for unvaccinated individuals outdoors, but are required in indoor public settings and businesses.

New guidelines effective April 15, 2021

SRCC is holding group rides in accordance the guidelines for Outdoor and Indoor Youth and Recreational Adult Sports, which classifies cycling as a Low-Contact Sport, and the gathering guidelines effective April 15, 2021 under the state's Blueprint for a Safer Economy. The limits on the number of riders is dependent on the tier our County falls in at the time of the ride. Rider limits and other requirements are outlined in our SRCC Covid-19 Compliance Plan.

What has changed?  The only thing that has changed is the number of riders allowed on each ride. Either 25 (Red Tier), 50 (Orange Tier) or 100 (Yellow Tier).

What has not changed?  Nothing else has changed.  All the other Covid-related precautions are the same (hygiene, face covering usage, physical distancing, etc.).

All members must STILL pre-register for all rides (by midnight the night before the ride). In the registration process, the rider will acknowledge a COVID-19 Liability Release and agree to comply with the SRCC Covid-19 Compliance Plan. More details can be found within the plan.
