Wine Country Century

The Santa Rosa Cycling Club welcomes you to Sonoma County for a beautiful springtime century.
Our Club members are eager to host you for an enjoyable day of cycling.

Sonoma County is famous for its scenic backroad cycling, and this event shows you why. In addition to passing by many of the region's premier vineyards,
the route winds through redwoods, apple orchards, and shady broadleaf forest. It meanders across meadows sprinkled with wildflowers and climbs over
hillsides dotted with eucalyptus, bay, and oak. This is considered a moderately easy century...a good choice for those attempting their first 100-miler.
It is not all flat though, and by the time the finish rolls around, even seasoned riders will feel they've earned their after-ride meal.

The largest portion of revenues from the entry fees goes to staging the event... paying for food and supplies,
site use fees, portables, rental trucks, equipment & storage, insurance, medical services, public safety, etc.
Even as we rebuild, a portion of the proceeds from the event will continue to support local bicycling advocacy.

Registration is online only, there is NO same day registration available at event. The 2019 WCC is limited to the first 2,200 riders. 

Entry Fees

Four routes are offered as part of the Wine Country Century.

Changing routes: If you decide to do a different distance than the one you register for, just let us know when you check in and we will make sure you get the correct map and bib number. You do not need to notify us ahead of time.There is no fee to change to a shorter route, but if you change to a longer route you will owe us the price difference between the two fees.

Event jerseys & vests will be available to pre-order with registration
  • Purchase at the WCC Store or when you register.
  • Special pricing of only $70 each when ordered by February 10th.  Sales tax & shipping are included in the price. 
  • Voler: Club Cut style, women's and men's sizes are available; find sizing information here. Wind vest info here.
  • Jerseys and vests will be shipped to you in mid-April.

Event T-shirts

  • T-shirts are $20 each.
  • Purchase at the WCC Store or when you register.
  • Sales tax is included in the price.
  • The T-shirts will not be shipped, they will be printed in late April and will be available for pick-up at the event.

Safety First

A properly fitting, US CPSC-approved helmet is required at all times during the ride.

It is your responsibility to bring a bicycle that is in safe working condition.

Carry a pump (compatible with your valves), a minimum of one water bottle (we suggest two), a tire patch kit, and a properly sized spare tube.

Always carry ID and emergency phone numbers for yourself. It makes good sense to also list your medical insurance carrier and your blood type.

Participants are required to follow California Vehicle Code (CVC) regulations.

Food & Services

At the Luther Burbank Center:

  • Rider Check-in (Friday evening, Saturday morning).

At the Rest Stops:

At the Finish:
  • An after-ride meal for all registrants from 11:30am to 5:00pm
  • BEER - The first beer is on us, provided by Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition. (Beer service hours are limited to 12:30 to 4:30 pm and to available quantities on hand.) Additional beers are $5 each, please have cash for payment.
  • Jerseys & T-shirts as available for purchase (in limited quantities).
  • Customer Service / Drop Bag Pick-up
Key Points

Riders must register in advance for this event; there will be no on-site registration.

There are no refunds for this event; if you register but are unable to ride, you may transfer your entry to another rider.

Parking at the Luther Burbank Center is very limited; please carpool or ride your bike to the start.

Dogs are not allowed in the picnic area at the Luther Burbank Center; please leave your dog at home.

Sharing the Road

Sonoma County's back roads are very popular with cyclists. You may only visit here once or twice a year, but the residents along our route have cyclists--in large groups and small--passing their homes and farms and wineries every day. You can help us preserve friendly relations with our neighbors by being a good ambassador for cycling when you ride here. Our use of this route in the future may depend on your good cycling behavior now.  Thank you for your cooperation!

  • This is not a race!
  • Obey all traffic laws.
  • Ride single-file as much as possible.
  • Stop and pull off the road for all emergency vehicles.
  • If you must ride double at times, be vigilant for overtaking vehicles (including faster cyclists) and single up promptly.
  • Please be courteous and friendly with all motorists and residents that you encounter. They are our neighbors.
  • Participants are required to follow California Vehicle Code (CVC) regulations.
